Electric Avenue
By: Web Editor
AS MORE and more focus these days is placed on environmentally friendly electric vehicles, it is worth remembering they’ve been around for a long time.
Electric Avenue is the story of Morrison-Electricar, the company at the forefront of the manufacture of electric vehicles at the end of the 19th century – an exciting story of innovation and change over almost a century.
It’s mainly an account of the roadgoing vehicles produced for the home market, the information comes from the Morrison family, archive material and the author Keith Roberts’ personal recollections of working with the company’s busy marketing department.
Keith Roberts has been involved all his life with the history and restoration of vintage commercial vehicles and his expertise and enthusiasm is ever present in this fascinating little book.
