Show your support for the pudsey roller
By: Web Editor
THE Friends of Pudsey Roller have produced two new fundraising items which are now available.
FoPR is the support organisation which is raising money to restore the Fowler steam roller that was played on by countless children in Pudsey Park and which is now under the auspices of the Road Roller Association.
The first is a pack of six Christmas cards depicting the roller very soon after it was installed in the playground in Pudsey Park in 1959. There are two each of three views, including envelopes, priced at £5.99.
The other new sales line is a black enamel pin badge in the shape of a steam roller with the words ‘road roller’ on the canopy side. These are a special variation of a standard enamel badge which is usually in red, green and gold. The black variation is unique to FoPR. These cost £3.40 each (both prices include p&p) and both lines can be obtained from Derek Rayner, 9 Beagle Ridge Drive, Acomb, York YO24 3JH.
Cheques payable to ‘FoPR’, please.
