The full turn of the wheel
By: Web Editor
The well known company of May’s Motors of Elstead had a history in road transport almost as long as the industry itself, starting in 1920 and only ceasing in 1997.
During this time it was involved in all manner of work including PSV operations and, in later years, international haulage, including to the Middle East.
This book details these years and is packed with photos, letters etc. This is a really interesting book and is very easy to read and is recommended to all with an interest in road transport.
By Peter May. 236pp, soft cover, colour and black and white photos throughout. Published by The Roads and Road Transport History Association, 21 The Oaklands, Droitwich, WR9 0QE. Price £16 inc p&p. Please make cheques payable to R&RTHA Ltd. ISBN 978-0-9552876-1-9.
